Breakfast. Again.

Bismillah.

So this was my breakfast for today. I can eat it everyday without complaining at all. :p

I love it because it is such a simple yet tasty and healthy meal. Well, it's almost the same with the potateggs (refer to my previous post) but no potato.

As usual, I will just put the picture here. (With some notes)

Notes:
1. I put minced carrots, mushrooms, and onion with half piece of low fat cheddar cheese.
2. Sprinkled it with white pepper and parsley flakes.
3. Put on the bread, put into oven. Done.
4. It's delicious. Seriously. ;)

Makin Hari Makin Kenal

Bismillah.

- kenal sifat2 Allah; pengasihnya Dia, pemurahNya Dia, betapa Dia Maha Melihat, Maha Tahu segalanya

Wallahua'lam.

Rahasia

Less Than a Friend, More Than A Stranger.

Bismillah.

It's 26th February. Just realized that it's your 26th birthday.

May Allah bless you. May your life become better day by day. May happiness will always be yours.

I hope one fine day we will meet again. With beautiful feelings and words.

Take care, sister.

Nostalgically

Bismillah.

Alhamdulillah. A very beautiful and nostalgic day, it was.

Went to IIUM.
Spent a few hours there.
Met new and familiar faces.
Talked to strangers.
Chit chatted with old friends.
Listened to kuliah.
An absolutely exquisite hours of the day.

Honestly IIUM is the biggest piece of yesterday that still haunts me, day and night. Not in a bad way, instead it always leave me smiling and sometimes in tears, but tears that I can't describe the reason behind it, yet I am sure that the rolling pearls on my cheeks aren't because of sadness. Or maybe I can simply say, it's a longing. Longing for the past to happen again, even for a few hours, just to give the heart a nice feeling for a while. Ahh, reminiscing the past is indeed one of my best ability. ;)

Having a chance to make an existence in IIUM during night hours somehow gives me an extra nostalgic feeling. Walking down the memory lanes, whilst the soul is flying back to the places it has been to, kinda torturing the heart. Those are the places that had witnessed my hardships, my happiness, my struggles, my laughter, my devastation, my sadness, my bad days, my sweetest memory, and everything I had been through for three years.

No, this is not my first "homecoming" to IIUM after graduation. In fact, I always come here depends on the need. But still, the feeling of longing for yesterday is strongly sealed in the heart. Because I finally realized that, it's not the place that I really miss, it's the moments. Moments that will never ever return no matter how hard I try to complete all the little puzzles of those years. Even if I pursue my master here, it will never ever be the same as those few years back. It will definitely give me a new days with new adventures which are totally different from before.

Well, I think I need to stop ranting here. Coz it's already late and I have to go to sleep first. Or else I can't stop telling you about each and every part of the things about my university life that I really missed.

Just so you know, that IIUM is indeed an important part of me. And it contributes a lot to what I am today. May Allah bless all the people that had taught me a lot about life and relationships. Thank you Allah for making IIUM a part of my journey.

Kimbap aka Korean Sushi

Bismillah.

Last Saturday was the giving-certificate ceremony for my baby. Alhamdulillah she completed her 1st module of playgroup. The parents were informed to bring some finger foods to the event. So I decided to make kimbap or known as Korean Sushi. Well, let the picture explains about the recipe. I am too lazy to write. :p

A few notes:

1. Use the japanese rice.
2. Boil the carrots and crab sticks for a while first.
3. Another ingredient not seen in the first picture: tuna.

That's it.

Simple, right? :)

P.s.: I learned how to make kimbap from my sis in law who graduated from Korea. She is now handling her bakery business and one of her signature meal is kimbap. If you live in the vicinity of Johor Bahru or Skudai, you can order kimbap (or cookies & cakes) from her. Like her fb page: baker's oben.

Time to Move On.

Bismillah.

But some memories won't just fade. And some people can't easily be erased from our minds. But we just have to deal with it. :)

Central Africa Republic

Bismillah.

In case you are wondering what's happening there to our brothers and sisters.

Ya Rabb....

I wonder if there's any NGO in Malaysia that collect donations for them. If you know any, please tell me. Jazakumullahu khayran.

Potateggs.

Bismillah.

Sobaahal khayr readers!

I love mornings. Apart from having a me-time at this hour, I am glad that my mornings are usually associated with delicious breakfast. Haha. Did I tell you that I love eggs? I really really do. Eggs are healthy, cheap, and tasty!

So I came across this recipe (in the form of picture only) of eggs and potatoes. It's so tempting and enticing I can't refuse my inner desire to savour it. 😝

I will put the photo here of my today's breakfast. Very simple but inshaAllah healthy.

It depends on you what you would like to put inside the potato. As for me, I put diced onion, minced mushroom, a quarter slice of cheddar cheese and grated carrot. After I crack an egg on them, I sprinkle some parsley flakes and white pepper on it.

Oh, before you stuff all those ingredients inside the potato, make sure you boil it first. After you are done stuffing it with whatever you like, bake it in the oven.

Try it! ✌

Kita Lebih Indah.

Bismillah.

Alhamdulillah saya menemui satu produk namanya Smelly No More iaitu natural crystal roll on deodorant stick.

Wallahua'lam.

Morning is Beautiful.

Bismillah.

Good tips!

I am practicing almost all of these tips (even before I came across this picture).

Good breakfast is really what I am always looking forward. Coz that's the time where I can eat my favourite meal: any egg meal. Usually I will have egg sandwich which is my all time favourite. Never get bored eating eggs. Haha. Eggs are excellent meal for breakfast, especially if you want to lose weight. ;)

But sorry, I don't turn off my phone when I am sleeping (just turn off the wifi/mobile data), coz my phone is my alarm. And yes, I put it far from my bed. Need to get up to turn off the alarm quickly before my baby wakes up! :p

A book? I have stacks of them on the bed. Such a nice feeling to be accompanied by books. Though I might not be able to read them. Merely as bedmate? Lol. No, really, having books in a distance you can easily reach is very helpful. A page or two is better than none anyway.

Sleeping with baby means you really have to sleep in a total darkness. It's important for our health as well, and a good thing to teach our kids to sleep without lights.

And finally, I bring my water tumbler to my room and drink before I go to bed. Don't forget green tea too. Awesome healthy drink to be consumed before you close your eyes.

Come, let's become a morning person! It's good for our physical and spiritual development. InshaAllah.

Ibu danTelekung itu

Bismillah.

Sejak kecil sampai sekarang
Ibu selalu sahaja dalam telekungnya
Hinggakan dalam minda ini
Tatkala teringat ibu
Yang terlintas dalam minda
pasti jasad ibu yg bertelekung.

Hingga kini
Selalu sahaja tertanya
Apa lagi solat yg ibu laksanakan?
Kenapa seolah terlalu lama ibu bertelekung
Setiap kali waktu solat?

Telekung itu telekung biasa
Tapi ia buat ibu rasa bahagia
Kerana dengannya ibu mengadap Yang Esa
Dan dengannya ibu merintih tak kenal masa
Hingga ibu sering keberatan melepaskannya

Saat diri sendiri usai solat
Dan berteleku di atas sejadah
Dengan telekung masih di badan
Entah kenapa tiba-tiba terasa
Seolah-olah ada ibu dalam diri ini
Seakan diri ini menjelma menjadi ibu

Ibu
Aku ingin jadi sesucimu
Aku ingin menghadap Tuhan tanpa jemu
Aku ingin dada ini penuh rindu
Pada Tuhan yg tak pernah melupakanku
Dan yg telah menganugerahi dirimu kepadaku

Sungguh tenang melihat ibu dalam telekungnya
Aku diam2 memerhatikan dan takkan lupa
Betapa pakaian yg ibu khaskan utk menghadap Dia
Turut beri ketenangan pada aku tatkala teringatkannya

Benar
Ada ibu dalam diriku
Kerana aku tak henti wujud dalam doa ibu
Dan kerana satu masa dahulu aku menumpang rahim ibu
Sekarang giliran ibu utk hidup dalam jiwaku...

Girlfriends.

Bismillah.

Someone forwarded this sweet entry at whatsapp and I'd love to copy it here in my blog.

READ THIS ------ IT'S MEANT FOR ALL OF US.

To all my girl friends in DoA.

A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking iced tea and talking with her Mother. As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter.

"Don't forget your girlfriends," she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. "They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you'll have, you are still going to need girlfriends.

Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them. And remember that "girlfriends" are not only your friends, but your sisters, your daughters, and other relatives too. You'll need other women. Women always do."

'What a funny piece of advice,' the young woman thought. 'Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! -- a grownup. Surely my husband and the family we'll start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!'

But she listened to her Mother; she kept contact with her girlfriends and made more each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her Mom really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, girlfriends are the mainstays of her life.

After almost 50 years of living in this world, here is what I've
learned:

Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Love waxes and wanes.
Hearts break.
Careers end.
Jobs come and go.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Men don't call when they say they will.

BUT girlfriends are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girlfriend is never farther away than needing her can reach.

When you have to walk that lonesome valley, and you have to walk it for yourself, your girlfriends will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you. Or come in and carry you out. My  mother, sister, sister-in-law, "sisters," extended family, and friends bless my life!

The world wouldn't be the same without them, and neither would I.

When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other. Every day, we need each other still.

I love my girlfriends...

These Three Tips.

Bismillah.

I just found 3 simple tips to be happy in life:

1) Place your hope in Allah, only Allah.
2) Make your mother happy with you.
3) Give and give and give to people.

Why? Because:

1) when you place your dream, your expectations and your hope in Allah, you will never be disappointed. In fact you will become unbreakable, since you are holding on to the Greatest power of all. A happy life doesn't mean you won't be tested, but it will make your life easier, and you will become stronger to face all obstacles. InshaAllah.

2) Allah will bless your life more when you make your mother happy. And when your mother is pleased with you, your businesses will become easier, wallahi. If you ever stuck in days where everything seems wrong and your heart is at misery though you think you already preserve a good relationship with Allah, please check again the matter between you and your mother. Is there anything that you've done that has hurt her and she secretly still feels bad about it? Believe me you can go far in life with your mother's prayers for you.

3) What you give, you will get MORE back. Never ever feel afraid of losing things/money that you've donated. Allah will surely replace it more. Allah is the owner of this world. He can give you as much as He wants. Try it, do charity, give sadaqah regularly, even if you yourself have little. You will find that you will always get more and more in return. Giving also can be in term of kindness. Be kind to people. Offer help to them, subhaanallah, you will undoubtedly feel peace at heart and one important thing is: when you treat people kindly, usually their hearts will make prayers for you automatically. MashaAllah, what a great thing it is to be getting du'as from lots of people.

There are lots more tips and advices about how to live a happy and meaningful life. But these three are just what I thought among the most vital ones.

Wallahua'lam.

Can We Feel the Pain?

Bismillah.

Whenever we think about all the sins that we've done, do our hearts ache? Do we feel a totally remorseful feeling when we recall our mistakes we've committed one time ago?

Hopefully we do. And it will be better if the pain we got leads us to crying and wailing to Allah, pleading Him to forgive each and every sin that has been written in our books. We might forget certain sins that we've done, due to the countless amount of them, but truthfully, Allah never forgets. He remembers every wrong deed of us, no matter how long we've been drifted away from all black days of us.

Among the conditions of the tawbah to be accepted is; for us to feel regret. And one way to prove that we really do feel regret about our sins is by having the pain residing in heart. Wallahi it's not easy to have such feeling. It's hard for us to honestly feel contrite about our past sins. It's hard, but not impossible. The fact that you feel like repenting is already a sign that Allah wants to forgive you.

We really need to remind ourselves to have a correct understanding on how to repent. Don't ask whether Allah will accept our repentance, rather, ask ourselves whether we've repented correctly.

He is waiting for us to return to Him. He is very happy when we want to return to the right path. May we all will gather under His mercy one day. InshaAllah.

Wallahua'lam.

Kita punya Dia.

Bismillah.

Tazkirah Maghrib hari ni
Tentang betapa kita tak menjadi seorang yg bersyukur

Kita ada hidup yg sempurna
Ada ibu bapa yg sangat baik
Ada anak yg sempurna dan bijak
Ada makanan dan pakaian yg cukup
Tapi kita tak terasa semua tu satu nikmat besar

Sekali Allah tarik nikmat kecil dari hidup kita
Sedetik Allah uji kita dengan kehilangan yg sedikit
Barulah kita terasa betapa sukar untuk hidup seperti biasa
meski hanya kekurangan satu nikmat

Percayalah
Setiap orang yang kita temui
Setiap jiwa yang kita kenali
Pasti mereka pernah kehilangan sesuatu yg mereka sayang
Pasti mereka pernah mengalami satu fasa hidup yg sukar
Yakinlah
Setiap manusia ada ujian yg Allah beri
Setiap mata pernah menangis tatkala beban di pundak terasa tak tertanggung lagi

Itulah kita
Itulah rencana kehidupan
Yang takkan henti dihuni dugaan
Saat bahagia
Bersyukurlah
Saat derita
Bersabarlah...

Allah ada.
Dia selalu ada.
Kelmarin Dia menolong kita.
Esok, Dia tetap akan menolong kita.
